Video Game Design: Summer Computer Camps Offer Rewarding Career Options for Teens
Companies are interested in hiring those people who have a natural instinct of what makes a game good or bad, someone who knows how to create video game design, a person who is passionate about playing video games. Training Requirements:
You can become a video game designer if you have very specific training. Many summer computer camps are available that offer programs for video game designing.
The summer camp programs help you to develop various levels in the game from the beginning till the final stages. The training covers drawing, characterization, editing, interactive media and game design which will strengthen your skills for video game design.
Working Environment:
A video game designer works with a team of people who organize different aspects of the game to create a new video game. If you are aspiring to make a career in this industry, you need to choose from a wide range of positions. It could be a storyboard or character artist who deals with the skeleton with sketches and paintings of the different elements of the game. This will require to have advanced technical training in graphic design and computer animation.
Character artist and animators can develop the characters of the game. They give it a real-look and feel with the help of 3D programs. A new game creation and designing is a long process. The team has a lead designer with other level designers. The level designers are responsible to create the right environment at different levels of the game for the player. They perceive the design team's vision of the game and create the necessary impact. They make the game more exciting and engrossing. Depending on the change of levels, environment designers give the game a three dimensional quality. Texture artists then give the flesh-and-skin to the various elements of the game.
It is the programmers who ultimately make the video game engine run. C++ is the most suitable programming language, an essential part of video games. Interface designers prepare menus in the game. Sound Editors create the required sound effects of the game to set the right mood.
If you have right training at summer computer camps in advanced graphic design and video game design, you will be able to bring your video game characters to life. You will be able to conceptualize your skills to bring out the concept envisioned. This will give develop your skills required for creating new video games.

I dont know what path to choose?
So i'm 16 and figure i should probably start aiming my life in a certain direction, but heres the thing, i have no idea what direction to go. My whole life i have had an intense love for science and piano which were the focal points of my life, but when i hit high school, the passion for science waned as others grew. I became much more interested in art, i found out i am very talented at video game design/programming, and have rediscovered my old passion for acting. So the thing is, i have just a basic skill set in each of these, and am not sure which one i should pursue further in life since i love them all. I absolutely love telling stories and creating new worlds and using my imagination which is where the video game design and acting comes from, but i also love knowing how things work which is where the science comes from. Basically, is it too late to start on any of these three things in life? cause i thought lots of people started acting when they were really young, like taking classes at 10 but im 16. I just don't know which path to follow or if i have what it takes for any of the paths. I'll admit it. i'm scared to take a risk in life and go for one of these passions. so how should i go about discovering which path to choose?
Wait actually i have more than a basic skill set in piano because i've been playing for about 10 years and can play almost anything now in terms of difficulty of pieces so i'm pretty good at that i guess
