Would you use a "3d internet"?
Would you use a "3d internet", something like a 3d version of the internet at the moment, in other words - something very much like a video game, but with options to check your e-mail, read wikipedia and so on. For example: - Imagine, you walk up into a 3d house, something like this one: http://companova.com/Images/3D/Hall.jpg and you chat with other people. This has an advantage if you're looking for...dating: Since in most dating sites you often ask for a pic or the pic of the user is blurry - in a 3d internet - you simply chat to a 3d person that might look like yourself. - Shopping: When you shop - you have the ability to see the product that you're buying in 3d - that is...very much like yu will do outside...in the "real world". - Design: The obvious advantage would be the fact that this 3d internet would look very much like a video game with nice graphics, in other words: http://www.dvhardware.net/news/crysis_dx10.jpg http://www.amitbhawani.com/Images/N/need-for-speed-prostreet1.jpg Finally, this thing won't be that hard to create...i am telling you this as a programmer: You need c++ and something called "directx" and you should integrate with a database (storing passwords, messages, etc.). What happens to youtube, wikipedia and apple.com??? Simply - "apple.com" becomes a 3d virtual office (like a video game), wikipedia.org becomes one big 3d library and youtube...I don't know (but I'll find out...)...probably some 3d cinema? that's it...10x :).
