Is having OCD really a bad thing?
Okay so my whole family (or just about) has OCD and they have always said it was a bad thing. I was even put on Zoloft when I was 12 fr no reason whatsoever. I ended up refusing to take it about a year later and now I'm 17 and i have been without any type of medication since. I am strictly against medication that alters personality. But anyways, yea, I obsess over stuff but most of it is only very important stuff like school. I would obsess over getting homework done on Friday even though I didn't need to until Sunday and I would concentrate very hardly on knowing every detail of study guides for tests. Of course in other times I obsessed over non-important things like getting a new video game. But for the most part OCD seemed like it work towards my advantage. Also, I don't believe it to be a coincidence that when I was twelve and taking Zoloft I totally slacked off and got very bad grades. So why is OCD even a bad thing? I don't understand?
