Find out how to Homebrew Wii Games - Unlock your Wii v4.0!

Homebrew Wii Games are custom Nintendo games made thru the reuse of Nintendo's Wii game console hardware, its accessories and software that were not intended by the manufacturer. This began when folks tried to use the Wii Remote for running Internet-based games in the computer's built-in Web browser or for use as a pointing device on other operating systems.

From this, other developments appeared like the Twilight Hack and the Homebrew Channel, which are made local code execution enabled. Latterly , it was declared a totally integrated Homebrew Wii Games are in the horizon. But as early as now developers are homebrewing games for the Wii on the Interent Channel. In this channel you will already play Flash and Javascript games and of course make your own games.

Certainly you've heard that entirely integrated Wii homebrew are in the near future, but did you know that developers are homebrewing with the Wii? Through the Net Channel, you can play Flash and Javascript games, and yes, even make your own.

The Wii has a GameCube compatibility mode, so that most Gamecube homebrew games run unmodified though at a slower pace than local Wii applications.

Homebrew Wii Games codes running in local Wii mode was first demonstrated at the 24th Annual Chaos Communication Congress in December 2007. The demonstration showed homebrew code running and responding to the Wii remote. Then came the release of the Twilight Hack software, the 1st non-modchip homebrew-enabling exploit on the Wii. The software released by Team Twiizers gave the chance to run local Wii homebrew code without even modifying any hardware. Nintendo's Firmware 3.3 disables the alpha version of this hack. Nintendo declared that unauthorized alterations to save files may harm game play and the entire console and that updating to the Wii Menu 3.3 will check for and mechanically remove such files. In response, Team Twiizers released an updated beta version compatible with both 3.3 and 3.4 Wii updates to support homebrew wii games.

With BreWii, you will have the tools you want to not only play Homebrew games, but you can also be ready to play DVDs, watch DivX pictures, download Homebrew applications, download and play Wii games, and backup and play your own Wii games. ( And an entire lot more ) And all without needing a modchip! That is right, BreWii is perfectly legal and safe for your Wii.
