Why do people rush into drinking/sex/procreating?Am I childish and immature?
I was watching the news and heard about a 13 year old "dating " an adult male, they had consensual sex , this is of course not news as we hear about it often, then I found out my cousin who just turned 14 is seeing some 17 year old that treats her like crap and has some other gfs. It breaks my heart to hear how teens are rushing into something so serious like sex I have always wondered what is going through their heads, I believe sex is something sacred and very intimate, something that coordinates the souls of two people who are in love, not a "I'm horny and I cannot control my hormones" Children should be born into a household full of love, and should not be an "oops" or accident, I mean do people who get pregnant very young, notice they hold a human's life in their hands and how precious it is. And in school I've heard of many girls who have a hangover every monday. I'm 17 and trying to preserve my childhood(which was the happiest time of my life), I still watch cartoons and play video games from my time and I avoid the immoralities of the modern world I am not pious but I think some teens are rushing. Call me a grandma but I believe in moderation and abstinence. Sometimes I think I am really immature for not having a bf , but then I see girls with their swollen bellies and hear about overdosed teens rushed to the hospitals and I am reminded of why is better to be a an akward loner who reads books. Do you believe I am immature for thinking this way? "The world is an open mental hospital. " - Anonymous.

Depression has taken over my life.?
I've been depressed for quite some time now. I have been depressed back in 2010 when all my friends left to go to out of state schools and I stayed in state cause I didn't want to pay more for room and board. I rarely get out of the house except to go to work, buying a video game, getting food, or going to a movie. The last time I got out of the house was to go see The Avengers, which was imo the best movie I have seen in a long time. If you haven't seen it, you're missing out. The only problem was that I saw it alone. I didn't ask anyone to go with me cause basically all my friends are gone and I really don't like talking to people that much. I would have asked a woman out to go see it with me, but I have had bad experiences with women and always feel betrayed by them. It's like I turn around and they stick a knife in my back and then go out with all the jerks that walk around like they're so tough and what not. I usually walk around whether its 90 degrees outside or its freezing cold and snowing looking like the guy from Assassin's Creed with my hood up, earphones on, not acknowledging anyone cause I always think that someone is going to betray me and stick that same knife in my back over and over and over again. I'd rather have my earphones in listening to metal because with that sort of music, there is no betrayal. In those two years at college, I haven't made any friends at all. I just kept to myself, did my work, and went days without saying a single word. My friends don't come back to town after the semester is over with and I can't go over to where they are at because I have to work all the time and the cost is ridiculous I usually communicate with them over the phone or playing COD with them on Xbox Live. I had more fun in those few hours playing COD than just going out with anyone. When I'm not doing that, I just either play guitar to pass time or just sleep all day. I know it's a bad habit but I'd rather live knowing that I'm not feeling like that same feeling of betrayal is passing over me again because there aren't that many honest people left in this world. I want help, but not by any drug means cause I feel that I can overcome this without using drugs and the fact that I'm straight edge means that drugs are off limits to me. I'd also would rather to do this than forking over hundereds of dollars in therapist bills.

I feel guilty for something I did to a friend... should I?
I feel guilty for kind of taking a moment of glory from my friend. This is for the most childish thing ever, but he really made a big deal about it, and made me feel terrible. He and I were joking around, saying how I could get a higher score than he could on a video game (Mario Kart). We were joking and playing a round in front of our friends, and I somehow knew that winning was more important to him than it was to me; but still (he can be a bit of a brat sometimes, bossy and throws angry tantrums a lot, has a huge ego, and doesn't treat myself or any of our other friends with respect, really. He's a good guy, though). So I know I probably should have let him win... but part of me just wanted to show up him. So I didn't. I beat him when I could just have easily let him have his 'moment of glory' in front of everyone. Instead, he stood up, threw the controller onto the ground and started spouting out insult after insult at me. I honestly felt terrible, even though we were 'supposed' to be competing... Should I just have let him win? Should I feel guilty? Should he just learn to deal with not getting his way all the time? Any help or advice would be great. We're all 18, by the way.
